In a magnificent display of bowling prowess, Pransh Kalathiya orchestrated a nail-biting victory for the Thunders against Centaurs CC. Defending a modest total of 158, the Thunders required a magical spell, and Pransh seized the opportunity with both hands.
Introduced into the attack as the first change bowler, Pransh made an immediate impact when Centaurs were cruising at 38 without loss. In his very first over, he dismissed Udaya Kumarasinghe and Mark Cornell, bringing the Thunders back into the game with Centaurs at 38/2.
Pransh continued his stellar performance by removing Ikram Sattar, who was batting on 49, in his fourth over, further revitalizing the Thunders’ defense. By the 30th over, Centaurs were 133 for 6, needing a run-a-ball to secure victory. With two overs left in his quota, Pransh was reintroduced into the attack in the 31st over. He struck immediately, claiming a catch-and-bowled dismissal of Manoj Wijeshinge, followed by bowling out Brenden Wakeford on the next ball, leaving Centaurs reeling at 135/8.
In his final over, Pransh secured the crucial wicket of Ankur Sharma, brilliantly caught at mid-wicket by Javail Patel, reducing Centaurs to 142/9. Pransh’s outstanding match-winning spell of 6 wickets for 28 runs earned him the Player of the Match award and handed the Thunders another crucial win in the league.
